Dr. Jeffrey Finch - GCASD's Superintendent

Dr. Jeffrey Finch graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Technology Education.  While teaching in the Seneca Valley School District, Dr. Finch continued his education at Carlow College where he completed a Master of Education degree along with his certification as a school principal.  In 1999 Dr. Finch accepted an administrative position with the Hampton Township School District, located just 10 miles north of the city of Pittsburgh.  During his 17 year employment with Hampton he served 3 years as the high school assistant principal, 12 years as the high school principal, and 2 years as the district's assistant superintendent.  He has continued his education by obtaining his Superintendents' Letter of Eligibility through Westminster College and doctorate through Capella University.

Dr. Finch began his tenure as Superintendent with the Grove City Area School District in January of 2016.  Since the time of his arrival he has focused his efforts on building relationships with members of our school and community as well as working to establish new support systems for the District.  Dr. Finch has participated on several local boards and committees for regional development and educational partnerships.  He has also worked to reintegrate the office of the Assistant Superintendent and to develop a new Department of Pupil Services.
