Grove City Area School District strictly adheres to an online application process.  Paper applications are no longer accepted.

All candidates for employment shall be selected and appointed on the basis of individual merit and ability with respect to positions being filled.

Professional vacancies will be posted in accordance with the Grove City School District Teachers Education Association contract and the Grove City School District policies and procedures.

Internal candidates will be afforded all opportunities for interviews and job openings.

Guest Teacher Program

The program allows participants to obtain an emergency permit issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and become day-to-day substitute in any public school.  Information regarding  the program can be obtained by contacting Denise Ferguson at 724-458-6733 ext. 2122 or denise.ferguson@gcasdk12org.

SENATE BILL 1312 – Effective September 11, 2016 The provision will allow student in education who are training to be teachers and have earned 60 semester hours from an accredited four – year Pennsylvania college or university to serve as substitute teachers for a limited time period – no more than 10 days per district per school year.  If you have any questions regarding the substitute process, please call the Grove City Area School District Office at (724) 458-6733.  Those who successfully complete the review process and the training program (if necessary) will qualify to substitute in the Grove City Area School District.  E.O.E.
